Tips to Apply Now to Prevent Early Aging

skincare

1. Start using anti-aging products in your mid to late 20's

Retinol is a type of Vitamin A that is found in over-the-counter, non-prescriptive creams and serums that stimulates the metabolism of skin cells and encourages collagen production. As you enter your 20s, early signs of sun-damage and aging show on the skin. For younger people, retinol is making sure that the skin's foundation remains strong and can resist wrinkling as much as possible as you age. If skin is far-gone in later decades, undoing the damage becomes that much harder and more complicated.

2. Small changes make a huge difference
Switch your coffee for green tea for the boost of antioxidants that will benefit your skin (and body)! Don't like green tea? Try lemon water with honey and ginger to detox your skin and body.

3. Don't sleep with makeup on
You may be lucky and wake up with glowing skin even if you sleep with makeup on frequently. However, acne can surface at any age (even in your 40s or 50s) so break this habit before it's too late. Good skin care means being attuned to your skin's needs. So don't resist mixing up a routine that's always worked for you if it no longer does.

4. Make a consistent skincare routine
Applying the right formulas at the right time is very important. Daytime is for protection from the sun and pollutants and nighttime is for repairing your skin. For the lazy girls (or boys) out there, use sunscreen in the daytime at the very least and moisturize or use retinol products at night.
